The application procedure used to place the eyelash extensions is completely painless and safe. Most clients are so comfortable during their session that they will fall asleep and take a nap.
Please arrive to your appointment with no makeup around the eye area.
When removing the makeup on or around your eyes, please use a mild, oil-free cleanser and avoid using any type of products that are
oil-based in their formula. Your lashes must be clean and free of any products for the lash adhesive to form a proper bond between
your lashes and the lash extensions.
Feel free to bring your own personal devices and headphones to listen to your own music during the session as you will be lying down
with your eyes close for an hour or more, depending on the service you have chosen at time of booking.
If you run cold, please bring a sweater or jacket that you can wear. That said, we will have blankets for you to use should you get
cold.
Last, please let our technicians know if you have any health issues with your eyes at or before the time of your appointment. Again,
your health is very important to us and we want to make sure we are aware of any issues that you may have with your eyes. If there is
an issue that might be harmful to you, we will not go through with the session and will wait for your health concern to pass.
Yes, you can wear your contact lenses if you generally have them on throughout the day. However, please keep in mind that you will have your eyes closed for the duration of an hour or more and may take a nap, so we do recommend that if you usually remove your contact lenses before napping, that you remove them prior to the lash application, as your eyes make feel dry and irritated with contacts left in during your session.
Our technicians will consult with you for the first 10-15 minutes prior to your appointment time. After this consultation time, our technicians will have you lie on one of our salon bed for the lash application to begin. You may listen to music or take a nap while our lash technicians place an eye pad under each eye and then begin the process of bonding lash extensions to each of your natural lashes.
Eyelash extensions are available in a number of lengths, looks, curl, volume, etc. Your technician will walk you through a consultation prior to your session in order to select your desired fullness, length, curl and look. These choices will help create your customized look. We always aim to have the overall look of your lashes to be natural-looking.
Your initial session for a full set of eyelash extensions takes around 75 minutes, which includes the consultation and application time. Our volume lash sessions are booked for two hour sessions as it takes longer for the application process.
There is variability from person to person depending on one’s beauty routine, the conditions in which you live and how you take care of the lash extensions, but the lash extensions should last as long as the natural life-cycle of your own lashes, which is anywhere from 3-4 weeks. Proper aftercare is the key to longevity of your extensions. Touch-ups every 2-3 weeks is required to maintain the initial full set look that was applied on the day of your session.
It is recommended that you get a touch-up or refill of your lashes every 2-3 weeks in order to maintain the full-look of your full-set session. A touch-up/refill is required to fill in any lashes that have shed. If you wait too long to have a touch-up done, your eyelash extensions will shed and you will require another full set session. Your natural eyelashes shed and fall out every 45 to 60 days due to the natural growth cycle of eyelashes and they are then naturally replaced with the growth of new lashes. Other factors such as exposure to steam, heat or constant rubbing of the eyes may cause the extensions to fall sooner.
No. We will not provide retouch/refill services if you already have some lash extensions that were put on by another salon. Due to the inconsistent quality of lash extensions and application quality employed from one salon to another, Allure Lashes does not offer refills on work provided by another salon. You will need to schedule a full removal service in addition to a full-set session should you desire lashes services from us; lash removal requires an additional booking and a separate fee. Again, we do this as we cannot guarantee the quality of work and products used by other salons and we want to avoid the mixing of our high-quality products and techniques with lower quality levels found at other salons. Due to a high demand in appointments for sessions, we have a strict 24-hour cancellation notice. If you must cancel your session, please give us at least 24-hour notice prior to your appointment time to avoid a fee. We will charge a 50% service fee for late notice cancellations and no-shows. If the affected service is part of a discounted series or promotion, then the service will be forfeited if the appointment is not rescheduled 24 hours prior to your appointment time. All cancellations must be made and confirmed via telephone only. Appointment cancellations and modifications through text or email are not accepted.
We ask that our clients arrive promptly for their appointments to ensure that our technicians have sufficient time to ensure quality results. If you are late, we will do our very best to accommodate you, however, if you are more than 10 minutes late to your session, time may not permit for us to honor full service. Your appointment may be shortened or rescheduled to ensure that we can complete services, provide you with the absolute highest quality of work, and to ensure that we are on schedule for our other clients.
